Friends of the Beechview Library
Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Beechview Branch, According
to President Don Bell, “The CLUB represents a large
cross section of the community and hopes to work with the government in a
positive way. It’s important that there be representatives who will deliver
the consensus of the residents to the various levels of government and move the
community forward.” For
more information on the CLUB, contact representatives from any of the members or
email Beechviewclub@yahoo.com. Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month. Each member organization sends one representative to the meetings.
The intent is to keep the group small enough to get work done; and yet
large enough to be inclusive. It
also ensures an equal voice for every organization regardless of size.
The Club is sponsoring the first newspaper for Beechview: Beechview
A Publication of the CLUB The Beechview Summit is a communication for the residents and friends of Beechview. Funds were procured for the publication of a newspaper Unfortunately, those funds are being held up in Harrisburg. There is so much going on in our community, we decided to move forward using a newsletter format. Once the funds are released, we will publish a newspaper
